Quarterly electric vehicle exports grew 122.3%, lithium battery exports grew 94.3%

According to customs statistics, in the first quarter, exports of electromechanical products 3.27 trillion yuan, an increase of 7.6%, accounting for 57.9% of the total value of exports; of which, automobiles, household electrical appliances and storage batteries were exported 147.47 billion yuan, 141.24 billion yuan and 116.34 billion yuan, an increase of 96.6%, 3.2% and 84.8% respectively.

Electric people-moving vehicles, lithium batteries, solar cells, also commonly known as the “new three things”, in the first quarter, the total exports of 264.69 billion yuan, an increase of 66.9% year-on-year, accounting for the proportion of China's exports year-on-year increase of 1.7 percentage points, reaching 4.7%. Last year, the “new three things” to pull China's exports overall growth of 1.7 percentage points, since this year, the pulling effect further increased in the first quarter to pull the overall growth of exports 2 percentage points.

Among them, the electric passenger car exports 64.75 billion yuan, an increase of 122.3%, the fastest growth rate in the “new three kinds”, while accounting for the proportion of China's automobile exports increased by 5.1 percentage points to 43.9%.

Driven by multiple factors such as strong demand for electric vehicles and energy storage markets abroad, Lithium Battery exports 109.79 billion yuan, a growth rate of 94.3%, solar battery exports exceeded 90 billion yuan, an increase of 23.6%.

In the first quarter of this year, China's “new three kinds” of more than 200 countries and regions around the world have export records, including the European Union, the United States, ASEAN, South Korea and the United Kingdom's top five markets export growth of 88.7%, 88.1%, 103.5%, 121.7% and 118.2%, the size of the total accounted for The combined size accounted for 71.6% of the total export value of the “three new types”.
